To promote Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and sake in Canada, we regularly organize events.
Among them, the large-scale “Washoku Matsuri” has become our flagship celebration.
In 2018 and 2019, with the support of Ehime Prefecture, a wide range of products were
featured, including seafood (tuna, yellowtail, sea bream, grouper, mahata), citrus fruits
(Benimadonna, mikan, yuzu), as well as persimmons, eggplants, and taro. These
contributions played a significant role in branding and boosting sales of Ehime products in
Canada.
Each year, more than ten Japanese restaurants participate, supported by over 100 chefs and
staff. The event welcomes about 250 guests, mainly affluent local fans of Japanese food and
sake, making it the largest Japanese food event in Canada.
